  • Dear Aidyn-

It’s been a very interesting 4 days.  Daddy and I put you to bed on Thursday night just like every other night.  The next time we saw you, it was lunchtime in the delivery room and you were meeting your little brother!  I think it’s been difficult for you to adjust… you’re jealous of the attention Grae gets, I know.  I starting sobbing last night when you wanted me to hold you and I couldn’t because I was nursing Grae.  It’s so hard.  I can’t love on you like you want (and I want!) because there’s someone else I need to give my time and attention to.  I love him so much too…

Funny memory- the very first time you saw Grae, I was trying to nurse him for the first time.  You looked straight at him, shouted, “bite it!!” and took a swing at him!  Ha!  I love that you try to protect me…  You saw my milk dripping out before I fed him yesterday though and I think it sunk in that he’s not biting me.  Since then, you say, “drink it! feed him…” and smack you lips in a sucking sound.  Ha!

I think you really like your brother.  I hope we all get used to each other soon and that we can have lots of fun times when I’m getting around a little bit better.  I’m so glad Nina’s here to give you more attention and love than I can right now.

    You’re my precious, precious girl.

Love you more than you’ll ever know.

  • aww! i love the pictures of them together . things will get easier as she adjusts. just try to make sure you take special time every day to do something with her. that way shes not getting too jealous

  • They are both adorable! I promise it does get easier! I know how you are feeling now I remember when I first broght Ethan home Madison was very jelous of the attention but what really helped was just having her help out with little things and doing special little things with her also. Now still Madison loves to hold Ethan and help with his baths and will go and get a diaper and just little things like that, she was a little bit older she had just turned two and now they are pretty much best friends! They hate being apart and when ever they are Madison is always asking about him and he will just look around for her when shes at my moms, shes always dancing around and doing silly little things to make him laugh and kissing all over him. It is tough but also very fun with two so close in age. Enjoy it!

  • @stephanierenee07 - Thank you so much… to both of you. I am so scared for next week when I’ll be by myself with 2 still under 18mos.  Yikes!  I know it will get better… at least I hope so!!   I really appreciate the encouragement!!
